Again, that's the typical celeb move so that the shock of it will be over on Tuesday when all the entertainment writers are back at work. But this is the Internet age, fools. We're on the case 24/7. Also I should add that Michael has a reputation of playing around on the wifey for years. Now he can play all he wants. .

Paul McCartney's long and winding road with Heather Mills is on the expressway to Overville. Sir Paul has filed for divorce from Heather in what is expected to be one of Britain's most expensive breakups. In the papers, Paul -- who never made Heather sign a prenup to protect his $1.5 BILLION fortune (duh!) -- is said to call his soon-to-be ex both "unreasonable" and "argumentative." Heather's mouthpiece, Phil Hall, issued his own statement saying that Heather is upset about the reports. “Heather's going to be filing her own counterclaims about matters both in this country and America. She does not feel the need to repudiate claims that she may be headstrong or feisty. She is hugely disappointed that matters of such a confidential nature should be aired in public and feels it is inappropriate to speak about such delicate matters when a child is involved." Way to bring baby Beatrice into this, Heather.
I've caused a stir
If you ladle it out, you've got to take it, as the old saying goes. My post yesterday has provoked 52 MPs (and counting) to sign the following Early Day Motion tabled by Peter Kilfoyle: "THE REPORTING OF MR NICK ROBINSON That this House deplores the innuendo of the blog of Nick Robinson, the BBC's lobby correspondent; calls upon him to substantiate the imputations he makes in his blog concerning the Speaker and hon. Members; and also calls upon the BBC to publish a full, itemised account of the expenses of Mr Robinson, in the name of transparency and accountability of public funds." Mr Kilfoyle posted his comments below yesterday's blog in which he describes as "outrageous" the suggestion that some MPs are too afraid to condemn the Speaker because he'd abuse his position in the chair to punish those that did.
Eco Worrier: Sustainable prawns, environmental van hire and organic ...
A I wish he were. If the ubiquity of prawns (or shrimp) on menus was a symbol of robust global populations and a sustainable approach to their fishing, it would be reason to celebrate. Perhaps with a seafood curry. In fact, it’s a bad omen, hinting at the destructive nature of industrialised shrimp farming. To feed our desire for a cheap source of this once luxury food, thousands of hectares of mangrove forest are being destroyed in Brazil and Bangladesh to set up shrimp farms, according to the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF). It’s no good choosing unfarmed prawns. The majority of these are trawled; a process that kills an estimated 150,000 turtles annually. The EJF says: "For every 1kg of shrimp that is kept, 40kg of other marine animals are discarded...
Backen takes early Iditarod role as rabbit
He took up endurance horse racing, the love of wife Melanie Shirilla, and sold most of his kennel. Nearly his whole team from 2007 ended up with 32-year-old Warren Palfrey of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. So even though Swingley isn't on the trail this year, his dog team is basically there -- led by a different head coach. A Metis originally from Rankin Inlet in the Canadian territory of Nunavut, Palfrey started running dogs when he was 11. Dogs, he said, are an ingrained part of his people's history. The Metis -- mixed-race descendants of several Indian tribes and the earlier French voyageurs -- are one of three recognized aboriginal groups in Canada. Palfrey ran the Iditarod once before in 2006 and finished 60th. He has expectations of doing a whole lot better this year.
Help + harm = no change
Television violence, poverty, neglectful or just plain bad parenting, as well as educational failure and the 1991 Budget have all played a part in reinforcing alienation and lack of direction. But the ALCP say that a certain bad law has thoroughly done that too, and bad laws breed widespread disrespect. Possession of cannabis should no longer be a crime. The ALCP is adamant that the most hypocritical and deficient law on our statute books - and the one with the greatest influence on youth alienation - is cannabis prohibition. According to the NZ Drug Foundation one in eight surveyed Kiwis is a cannabis 'criminal.' Amongst youth, the numbers experimenting has been found to be as great as 8 out of every 10 (Chch Health and Development study, Fergusson et al). Feeding us all a law which is an ass (eg.

1) I agree with your take. 2) From what I have read, I would concur that MOST scientists believe there is some effect, but the degree of which is the main point of contention and subject to many more years of study. 3) I am on your side. I want my home in the next 2 -5 years to be equipped with a 7000Wph solar generation with grid tie-in, and I want to be charging my electric car in my garage. 4) My main position is that AGW science is not settled. I am against alarmism, against the idea that only 1st world nations should participate, and against the idea of paying more tax to partake in what should be a capital budget item. I believe in prioritization of current revenues vs: picking the pocket of the taxpayer. Posted 14/12/07 at 3:14 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment .
Regency sees restructuring as response to fewer sales
Iowa's largest home builder has appointed an executive whose job will be to help it restructure as it expects to sell 43 percent fewer homes this year than it did three years ago. Regency Homes said Harold Brandt, a 30-year veteran of the construction industry who works in its commercial services office in Minneapolis, has been named as executive vice president and chief restructuring officer. He assumes his duties immediately. James M. Myers, a partner in the West Des Moines-based Regency, said as home-building activity has slumped, the company decided to look at the way it does business. .
Cancer treatment at RVH to expand; Radiation facility to open with new ...
A new era in cancer treatment is beginning at Royal Victoria Hospital. The hospital is preparing to open its temporary radiation facility in April, and Dr. Juhu Kamra, a radiation oncologist from the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, has joined RVH's cancer care team. The state-of-the-art radiation treatment facility, the first of its kind in Canada, features a linear accelerator, which will eventually be transferred to the RVH Simcoe-Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre. It is schedule to be open in 2011. "It's going to have a profound effect on the people who are having treatment. It will minimize their travelling time and increase their convenience," she said, adding that if the treatment is closer to home, there is a greater chance patients will take it.
